A short drive from Paris, stands the estates of Versailles. Versailles estates, particularly the Palace of Versailles and its surrounding grounds, are renowned for their opulence and grandeur. The palace, once a hunting lodge, was transformed by Louis XIV into a symbol of absolute monarchy in France. A visit to Versailles should certainly be on top of one’s list if you are planning to travel to France.
