Our clients had met over six years ago in Paris while studying at HEC business school. They started dating on a day trip to Versailles organised by the school. Christopher remembered that they first kissed while having a picnic at the canal. They had enjoyed a traditional apple tart for desert on that day so the story goes.

Christopher contacted “Love Picnic Paris” a while back with the idea of proposing to his girlfriend Johanna where they first kissed along the canal of Versailles gardens. His special request was to include a traditional apple tart for desert.

Isn’t that a wonderful idea!

We do love going to versailles ourselves and we were thrilled to plan Christopher’s proposal. An engagement at the gardens of Versailles is so romantic. It is exciting to be part of it & help making this plan come true.

A wonderful romantic afternoon at Versailles

A Romantic afternoon at Versailles gardens.

Versailles is the most enchanted destination, only a short drive away from Paris. We love setting up our gourmet picnics under one of those historical tree. You can visit the castle in the morning then walk down to the canal to restore yourself with families, friends and loved ones.

We set up our deco picnic for Nicolas under one of the most amazing oak tree of the park. Nicolas proposed to his girlfriend on the most beautiful afternoon. This part of the park is a little off track from the main touristic area. It is really the most amazing setting for a romantic afternoon.

We are often asked for a private setting to organize our proposal picnics. The Eiffel tower area is the first choice for a surprise proposal in Paris. Some of our clients are looking for something a little different, a little more discreet!

On arrival at Charles de Gaulles, they usually rush to the hotel to check in, refresh and head to the Eiffel tower! Exciting day for “Love Picnic Paris”. We have just planned a wonderful proposal at the gardens of Versailles with the most talented engagement photographer. Days are getting longer, spring time is around the corner now. It is a little cold still in Paris & planning a stylish engagement at the gardens of Versailles is a wonderful call of duty.

As always, we had the most amazing time with our clients. It is a blessing to be part of such an important moment in ones life. Destination Versailles for your surprise proposal.

We simply LOVE heading to Versailles for the day. Regardless of the season, Versailles estate is the most amazing historical site located only half an hour west of Paris. A lot of our clients decide on Versailles to propose to their girlfriend. Versailles gardens are definitely our favorite escape for a gourmet picnic and the perfect setting for a secret proposal.

Visits to the palace start at 9am while the Trianon estate opens at noon.You can purchase your tickets in advance through the official Versailles estate website. The palace as well as the Trianon estate are open every day apart from monday. The park and the gardens are open every days. There are three train stations running from Paris. Located on Boulevard de la Reine, the Queens gates give you access to the park with a car. There is a charge of €12 to access the park by car.
