While our Edith Piaf picnic comes with our deco picnic set, ANY OF OUR PICNICS COULD BE CUSTOMIZED TO FIT YOUR DREAM PROPOSAL. A gourmet picnic is a fun, cajual, yet stylish way to propose to your girl friend at the Eiffel tower. Champagne is offered with our deco picnic. We do propose a number of options such as professional photography & musicians and magicians.

Hosting a gourmet picnic in Paris.

“Love Picnic Paris” has produced picnic events at the Eiffel tower for the past 6 years. We have hosted many different picnis for all occasions. Clients contact us for a romantic outing, a birthday celebration, a bachelorette party, a friends get together, or a corporate party. We will set up your picnic close to the Eiffel tower either at the champ de Mars or the Trocadero gardens. For a group party it is always best to send us an email first to share your ideas, with a date and the number of your guests.

Paris secret proposal at the Louvre

Paris secret proposal at the Louvre gardens.

We have officially entered the fall season in Paris with a lovely secret proposal at the Louvre gardens! Ivan, our client contacted us a while back to assist him with the planning of his proposal to his long time girlfriend. We decided on the Louvre gardens to set up one of our gourmet picnic. The picnic was all ready to enjoy by 12h30. Ivan was to arrive at the location after a morning bike ride. He surprise his girlfriend with the proposal, crack the bottle of champagne open and enjoy our “Edith Piaf” picnic with his lover surrounded by French history.

Ivan especially requested for a peaceful location in the city center close to the place Vendome where the morning ride was to end. The Louvre is one of the main visited site in the city right after the eiffel tower. It attracts millions of tourist yearly. The park is located in between the museum and the tuilerie gardens. It happens to be peaceful and a perfect location for a romantic afternoon.

Lifestyle photography for your secret proposal.

We organized for our photographer to be present when our couple first arrived at the beginning of the picnic hour. Olivier discretely captured the proposal from the distance without being noticed. He carried on taking photographs while Ivan opened the bottle of champagne. He then moved forward and introduced himself so that he could take a few portraits of the two of them before they enjoyed their lunch. After lunch hour, they all walked around the Louvre museum for their engagement photo session. The photos were all retouched and sent out the very next day.

Our clients received over 100 photographs carefully edited by Olivier. You will find a few visuals from the day below. It is very difficult to decide on which photos to showcase because there are just so many gorgeous images! You will find a few photographs of the picnic set up, the actual proposal and photos taken in the afternoon over one hour.

We have four different picnic you can choose from. Ivan decided on our most romantic gourmet picnic set up. Edith Piaf picnic can be ordered directly via our service page. The picnic is set up with cushions, candles, an umbrella, balloons. It includes our wicker basket which is of course part of the decor as well as a bottle of champagne.

We planned a lovely picnic at the Trocdero with Heather, Tony her husband and the kids this morning. They asked for Olivier to take a few photographs prior to the picnic with the Eiffel tower in the background. They had a wonderful time, we are so glad they loved our “Leon picnic ” basket with all of the goodies inside.

Love Picnic Paris + Granola Greek Yogurt Strawberry

Love Picnic Paris + Greek Yogurt & strawberry & mix granola and dried fruit

It’s a fruit-and-yogurt parfait

Add granola to a glass or bowl and smooth surface until flat
Add half of the greek yogurt and smooth surface until flat
Add 4 strawberries ( I like to mash them up to make jam consistency) then smooth surface until flat
Add the rest of the greek yogurt and top with a cut up strawberry

Love Picnic Paris + Chocolate & Pear cake

Love Picnic Paris: Chocolate & Pear cake with fresh cream.

Pears and chocolate cake work really well together in this easy-to-prepare, everyday traditional cake. Especially if you have a couple of very ripe pears that you don’t know what to do with. Instead, I just placed chopped pears on top of the cake batter, expecting the cake batter to rise evenly around the pears. easy-to-make, it’s delicious, the chocolate cake texture is just right, and this dessert has fruit in it which is what I love

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened Dutch-processed cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter
4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole milk
3 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and chopped into large chunks

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt – mix to combine.
Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a small bowl, using a microwave, or on a stove top in a small pan over low heat. Stir well.
Transfer melted chocolate mixture to a large mixing bowl, add granulated sugar, and, using electric mixer, beat on medium-high speed for a couple of minutes until the mixture is light in color. Add eggs and vanilla and continue beating to combine. Add flour mixture and milk, alternating between the two in two additions, into the chocolate mixture.
Grease a 9×9 inch square pan or 9 inch round springform pan. If using a springform pan, line the bottom of the springform pan with a round piece of parchment paper.
Pour the cake batter into the baking pan and place chopped pears on top of the cake batter. Alternatively, you can fold in chopped pears into the cake batter before adding the cake batter into the baking pan.
Bake for about 45 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out reasonably clean and the cake bounces when touched.
Cool on a wire rack for 15-30 minutes. If using springform pan, release the cake when completely cooled.
Dust with powdered sugar before serving: it will make this tasty cake look really pretty!
