Indian summer in Paris!

We have had a gorgeous month and october is even more beautiful … You are in the city with the intention to propose to your girlfriend, or simply visiting with your love one … You are looking for something unique to do, something utterly romantic! Well, it is the perfect time to enjoy one of our gourmet picnic and a couple photo session at the Eiffel tower, just like Ashley and Kent did yesterday. They flew from California; first time in Paris, a gourmet picnic overlooking the eiffel tower is a wonderful Parisian experience. Ashley had contacted us a while back to arrange for our “Leon picnic ” and a photo session with Olivier.

We set up their picnic at the Trocadero gardens so that when they arrived at the location, all they had to do was open the bottle of wine & enjoy this special moment. Olivier met up with them an hour later for their couple photo session. They had booked a mini photo session with us to complement their romantic afternoon.

Below a few of the photos taken around the Trocadero area with the magnificent Eiffel tower in the background. We are often asked for recommendations on what to do, where to go while in Paris! It is always difficult to answer, the city having such a rich cultural heritage. One thing though, if you are going to enjoy one of our gourmet picnic and a photo session with Love Picnic Paris make sure you get some tickets to go up the Eiffel tower. Amy + Greg Secret Proposal at The Eiffel Tower

Greg contacted us yesterday to help organize a surprise picnic overlooking the Eiffel tower. He proposed to his long time girl friend Amy… who was overjoyed and a little surprised. They enjoyed our “Léon picnic” with a bottle of champagne, strawberries for dessert and a couple of “Eclair au chocolat” that we picked up on rue Montorgueil. Special treat for a special occasion & not to forget a mini photo session with Olivier around the trocadero to celebrate this very special time in their life.

It is such a treat for us to be able to share our love for picnics with clients flying to Paris from all over the world to enjoy our amazing city. Greg and Amy are Australians and live in Sydney. They are touring europe for a month and stopped over in Paris for a few days. They will be getting married in Australia next year. Olivier started his photographic career working for the “Sydney Morning Hearald” over 20 years ago! That creates a special bound I guess! They had a wonderful time both with their picnic and their photographer. Amy & Greg suggested we come to Sydney for the wedding as Olivier was telling them that it was in Australia that he photographed is first wedding on the beach!

Olivier is a wonderful photographer. We propose some top of the notch portrait photography with one of the most talented and sweetest photographer in town. You can see some of Olivier’s private portraits on his website. Amy & Greg proposal photo session was sent out to them via “Wetransfer” yesterday. We have just received this little note from Greg :

” Thank you so much for everything you and your wife organised today, everything was perfect.

Lovely morning with clients who flew from Miami to celebrate their 8 years wedding anniversary in beautiful Paris. We decided on the Trocadero gardens for their picnic because our client Dailyn wanted some photos with the Eiffel tower in the background. Although we love the champ de Mars, you have a great view of the Eiffel tower from the other side of the seine.

Dailyn and her charming husband enjoyed our “Amelie Poulain” picnic with a great bottle of white wine from burgundy as well as some cold meat, cheeses, a market salad, some market strawberries from the morning, a home made chocolate cake … I am sure I forgot something!

In any case, we had a wonderful time with some new friends from Miami. They opted for one hour photo session with Olivier around the trocadero and the Eiffel tower. The photos are fun and lively, full of romance. Technically we are still in winter in Paris, aren’t we?  Well, I love winter now, love it so much i had to take off my jumper as I was simply feeling hot at our picnic today!

Beatrice had contacted us a week ago as she was planning the birthday of her lover and partner in crime. She ordered an “Amelie Poulain” gourmet picnic with a surprise set up so that everything was ready for them to simply enjoy the moment they arrived. She asked for extra berries and extra olives + a delicious strawberry birthday cake which we ordered at our bakery in rue Montorgueil and a bottle of champagne to celebrate in style. Beatrice and Johnny had a feast, a wonderful time under a cherry tree with the eiffel tower on the side.Paris picnic

We launched a new trend at the champ de Mars this morning. “Love Picnic Paris” was in the air. I loved Beatrice dress, that she wore for the occasion, simply stunning. Both our clients were extremely happy & having a great time. It is the best thing to be able to make people feel happy and see a big smile on their face.

Olivier took some gorgeous photographs of the two of them cuddling under the tree. The mini photo session was a must really. We love our picnic baskets. Making sure that our clients enjoy the moment in the most beautiful city on earth is very important to us.Paris picnic

The weather was gorgeous today in Paris! Funny, a blogger from Australia sent us a text message asking whether he could order a picnic for the next hour while we were on site. It does take us a little while to prepare our picnics. Ordering a picnic for the next day is probably the best we can do. We have four delicious gourmet picnics to choose from at Love Picnic Paris. Gaby and Bjørn flew to Paris to celebrate Bjørn’s birthday. Bjørn was the one who surprised his girlfriend with one of our wicker picnic basket. They had our “Leon picnic” at the champ de Mars overlooking the Eiffel tower with a mini photo session. Spring is definitely round the corner … some of the trees in the park are in bloom already: a gorgeous day to celebrate with your love one specially when it is your first visit in the city of love. It was very nice for us as well to meet this charming couple from Copenhagen. They were so cute together, Olivier had a great time snapping a few portraits of the two of them. It is not quite spring yet as the title suggest; we are so excited at the change of season that for us it is spring time already! We have a few picnic orders already all the way to August. We will be catering to families, friends and lovers alike, meeting wonderful people from all over the world, with a picnic and a nice bottle of wine.

We have been to the Eiffel tower this morning to check on the lady! Yes a little bit frisky in Paris today, we cannot wait for the picnic season to begin in the spring again. We have met a lot of wonderful couples and families last year who enjoyed our gourmet Paris picnic at the champ de Mars.
