It is a pleasure to prepare our gourmet Paris picnics which we set up in Paris Parks for many of our clients special events. We are of course thrilled to produce all of our various events each year! Our family picnics, girls get together party or a Paris proposal at the Eiffel tower for all of our international clients are a lot of fun to produce.

Emily & Jack enjoyed our “Amelie Poulain” gourmet picnic at the champ de Mars. We set up our deco style picnic for their romantic outing. They ordered a bouquet of pink roses as well to celebrate Emily’s birthday anniversary. Their picnic was set up for 12h30 lunch hour, so that they could walk across the park from their morning visit to the Eiffel tower.

Important to note that we do not give out any set number of photographs or restrict the number of photographs included in your photo package to the minimum to overcharge you thereafter for extra photos! You’ll probably notice it is common practice.

Olivier would edit all of the photos that he selects, (usually quite a few). He will retouch each photo individually and send them over no later then the next day via wetransfer. The photos will also be sent out in high resolution format. We do not charge you for higher resolution pictures either! Everything is included in a set fee with no extra charge. The files are very carefully processed by Olivier. Usually the process totals to an extra day of production. It takes proper skills & patience. It is time consuming but the final result is gorgeous!

You will receive a link to download your pictures via email. This way you can send the link to your parents the next day as well.

If you are interested in Photography : Our photographer has 30 years experience in the industry. He has collaborated to the NY Times, Marie Claire, Le Monde, El Pais, Sydney Morning Herald … He makes sure that his clients have a wonderful time during the photo session. You are in very good hands with a very well experienced photographer who loves sharing his passion for photography with his international clients. Note that Olivier lived in NYC for over 10 years, is fluent in English. He photographed high end weddings across the US & the Carribeans during that time.

A Paris birthday picnic celebration.

As mentioned above, our gourmet picnics are set up at various parks across the city. Our clients favorites locations include the champ de Mars as well as the Trocadero gardens. Both parks are a few minutes walk to the entrance of the Eiffel tower. This is quite handy if you are also planning on visiting the Eiffel tower the same day.

The Trocadero gardens are located across the river seine from the Eiffel tower. The Eiffel tower being a really tall structure, we recommend to pull back a little to fully enjoy your picnic with the view of the tower. Otherwise you may take the risk of a neckache looking up at the tower as you are enjoying your picnic hour. This will also take you away from the crowd gathering at the foot of the tower. From experience, we found that there are also quite a few interesting perspectives for photos around that side of the seine.

Our clients ordered our “Amelie Poulain” gourmet picnic as well directly from the website. We set up their picnic with our traditional picnic set up including a red and white squared picnic mat. The set up was all ready by 16h00. Time is really flexible though. Their Paris picnic included a bottle of rosé wine as well as a bouquet of roses. They celebrated their 10 years anniversary on a gorgeous afternoon. Our clients also requested a one hour photo session with our professional photographer both at the picnic site and around the tower afterwards.

A gourmet picnic is so perfect for a Paris birthday celebration or a wedding anniversary with your spouse while visiting the city. We only produce one picnic at a time, this way there is no rushing around! We do make sure that we take very good care of our clients. It might be best to order your picnic a little bit in advance specially if you are looking to combine both a picnic and professional photography services.

Since 2016, we celebrate LOVE with our clients in gorgeous Paris. “Love Picnic Paris” produce the best Paris picnic for everyone to enjoy. Our French style gourmet picnics are tailored to everyone’s fancy. We propose four different Paris picnic menus which you can easily order via our picnic service page. You can also very easily leave us a little note if you have any dietary restriction or allergies. We are always looking forward to hearing from you via email as well for your special requests.

Our traditional Paris picnics are delivered and set up for you in Paris parks. We could also set up our picnics at the gardens of Versailles. We only set up one picnic at a time over lunch and evening hours. Your picnics last for one and half hours for couples, possibly longer for larger groups. We also would be on call during your picnic hour just in case you have any special request.

Our classic “Léon” menu as well as “Amélie Poulain and “Jeanne” are set up with our traditional picnic red and white table mat. While our “Edith Piaf” gourmet picnic is set up with our deco picnic set. Still you can order one of the first three menu for your party including our deco picnic set up instead of the traditional one. Our deco picnic set up suits parties up to 6 guests. It is best to reach out to specify that you would like to swap to our deco picnic set up as there is a surcharge.

Our Deco Style Gourmet Picnic Description

Our deco style gourmet picnic includes our French traditional wicker baskets, a selection of vintage mats, retro style umbrellas, cashmere plaids and blankets as well as cushions, customized menu, candles and a few other surprises.

You can add a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of flowers, as well as various photography packages. We will provide all of the relevant information for your booking in an email.

Planning a party picnic in Paris with “Love Picnic Paris” is easy! Once you have determined the number of guests and your date, we will guide you every steps of the way. You may be planning to celebrate you birthday while visiting Paris, a traditional French style picnic in Paris is a wonderful idea. Clients also come to us to organize their hen party with a view of the Eiffel tower. We could also organize a picnic brunch party the day after your wedding. A party picnic for a corporate event for your group in between business meetings is also a fun way to enjoy the beauty of the city.

Where to enjoy your Paris picnic.

There are quite a few beautiful parks where we do set up our gourmet picnics in Paris. The champ de Mars is certainly a big time classic. The Eiffel tower stands at one end of the park. This makes it the perfect location to host your party picnic. The Trocadero gardens is also one of our favorite. It is located on the other side of the seine with also a beautiful view of the Eiffel tower. The classic park Monceau in the 17th arr. as well as the gardens of the Observatoire on the 6th arr. are also available for fun party picnics in the city.

Our Paris picnic is a delightful adventure! It is served with a variety of delicious foods. We head to our Paris local market in the morning to hand pick our menu items for our party picnics. It is fun and a wonderful way to start the day.

A French traditional baguette is a MUST have. First stop is the local boulangerie where we purchase breads, pastries such as croisants and pain au chocolats as well as our traditional Moelleux au chocolat.

We hand pick our selection of cheeses at the local market. Every region of France has its own cheeses. Back in the 60’s, France had some 250 cheeses – and it has quite a few more than that now, given the large number of new products that have emerged from France’s hundreds of dairy companies in the past 20 years. it is commonly thought that we have one cheese to enjoy for each day of the year!

Brie, Camembert, Roquefort, chèvre and Comté are some of our favorites but not only! Lets not forget Emmental, our traditional French cheese with holes in it. Mimolette is a round cheese, made in the area of Lille in the north of France …

Cold meats selection at the local market.

We also pick up our cold meat selection for our charcuterie boards at the local market. Each platter comes with Saucisson. It is a dried, salted and aged sausage which is uniquely French! Each region makes their own saucisson according to the terroir, fabulous! Jambon de Bayonne, similar to Italian parma ham, a jambon cru, a rich dark meat from its extensive salting and maturing, marbled with fat. Our cold meat platters are served with pickles and selected Olives.

Market salad, Vegetable quiche and More!

Our Paris gourmet picnics also come with a vegetable market salad. The salad will vary depending on the products that we will find at the market in the morning. Also a vegetable quiche, filled with colourful chunky vegetables and large enough to serve our picnic party. Roasting the vegetables ensures that it is very tasty too. It is served in a pie crust and baked until golden for a delicious serving. This would make a decorative addition to a beautiful afternoon at the park.

Our wicker baskets: We use traditional wicker baskets and a cooler to transport your food and beverages. We will pack utensils, plates, glasses, a corkscrew, napkins, and a trash bag for cleanup. 1. - Paris birthday surprise idea. It was the first time in France for our family and the last day of their journey in Paris before heading back home. Our client organised a surprise picnic for his wife birthday celebration with the kids at the park. They enjoyed a visit to the Eiffel tower in the morning. Our deco picnic set up was all ready for them to enjoy for an early afternoon picnic.

Time to drop your phone for a while, let a real professional document your family picnic in a lifestyle manner. The picture process is a lot of fun. Photos are usually done when you arrive at the picnic site. You can choose from a mini photo session ( 1/2 hour of photography ) to one hour of photo. If you choose the second option, our photographer will take you around the Eiffel tower once you finish your picnic as well. Your family photo session will be professionally edited & retouched the same day. Photos will be sent out the next day in high resolution via wetransfer.

A note on Getting engaged in Paris.

You will find different engagenent packages in our proposal page. A professional photo session is included with any of our proposal picnics. You may want to extend your Paris engagement photoshoot session to one or two hours. This way olivier will photograph your proposal when you arrive at the picnic site. You can then enjoy your picnic. Once you have finished olivier will take you around the Eiffel tower for the remaining hour. You can then jump into a taxi, head to the Louvre area for another hour of lifestyle photography with one of the best photographer in town.

A Sweet Paris Engagement on a Rainy day!

Sometimes it rains on the day of your engagement in Paris! This morning, it actually snowed in the city! Still, we do provide gourmet picnics all year long either in Paris or Versailles. Hot soup & hot tea and warm blankets will accomodate your winter Paris picnic.

We usually touch base with our clients the day before their picnic, after having checked on the weather forecast. We ask you to be a little flexible if possible with the timing of your picnic. This way we have room to play with the planning and set up of your engagement picnic in Paris.

We may move the starting time a little later on during the afternoon. We might even suggest to move the date to the next day if the weather doesn’t cooperate! Rare thing … Most time, in case of rain, we use one of the shelter at the champ de mars.

This is what happened with our couple who recently flew from Australia to get engaged in Paris. We set up their engagement picnic at one of the shelter at the champ de mars. A couple of good looking umbrellas, love & happiness plus a great sense of humor from our photographer did the trick!

Just watched “Midnight in Paris” again last night. It is a 2011 fantasy comedy film written and directed by Woody Allen. Set in Paris, the film follows Gil Pender, a screenwriter, who is forced to confront the shortcomings of his relationship with his materialistic fiancée and their divergent goals, which become increasingly exaggerated as he travels back in time each night at midnight. The movie explores themes of nostalgia and modernism.

A Paris Picnic at the Eiffel Tower

The champ de Mars is our favorite park for an afternoon Paris picnic. It is perfectly located in the heart of Paris along the river seine to one side and the Ecole Militaire to the other side. The Eiffel tower stands beautifully to the north side. It is a real treat to enjoy a traditional French picnic at the park with the family.

First time in Paris with the kids, our clients enjoyed a visit to the Eiffel tower in the morning. By the time they walked down the tower, we had our party picnic set up for the family at a quiet spot, a little to the side. They had ordered our Amelie Poulain menu with a bottle of champagne and lemonade for the kids.

We actually set up our deco picnic for them. This includes our gorgeous wicker baskets, vintage table cloths, designer cushions, candles, umbrellas, cotton plaids as well as flowers and our colorful balloons.

We have had the great pleasure to host a party picnic for a family from Porto Rico. Our first Quinceañera Paris Picnic celebration! A quinceañera is a traditional celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday. It has cultural roots in Mexico and is widely celebrated by girls throughout Latin America. This Quinceañera birthday is celebrated differently from any other. It was a very special moment for our family visiting Paris. It marks the transition from childhood to young womanhood in the latin American continent. We were really excited to host our traditional party picnic at the champ de Mars for our clients.

A Paris romantic winter engagement.

There is no real season for a Paris engagement photo session and a traditional gourmet picnic. We had the great pleasure to produce a Paris romantic winter engagement just recently for our clients. Our clients flew all the way from San Francisco. First time in Paris, first time in France for both of them.

Ian reached out to us with the idea of proposing to his girlfriend while staying in Paris. We organized our winter gourmet deco picnic at the Eiffel Tower for them.

Because of the winter season, we may ask you to be a little flexible with time and schedule for your event. We would be in touch the day before to finalize all of the little details together. In case of a rainy forecast during the day, we might suggest to wait a little while or postpone to the next day if possible. We can also set up your picnic under one of the shelter at the champ de Mars.

Paris proposal with a gourmet picnic.

We do propose a winter Picnic menu for the winter season. Our winter deco picnic comes with a traditional baguette, a hot vegetable soup, a selection of cheeses, a selection of cold meats, a vegetable quiche, seasonal salad, fruits and chocolates. Our Paris picnic is also served with hot tea and champagne. An engagement picnic is usually set up either at the Eiffel Tower or Versailles gardens.

Our gourmet winter picnic also comes with a beautiful deco set up. It includes our traditional wicker picnic baskets, a set of designer cushions, a couple of cashmere plaids, a warm cotton blanket, customized menu, candles.

Any of our gourmet picnics can be coupled with a professional photo session. You will also find detailed information on our proposal page which includes various engagement photography sessions.

This is how it goes!

We make the process very easy. Our gourmet picnic would be set up and ready to enjoy when you arrive at the choosen location. It is usually best to propose when you arrive to the picnic set once settled.

Our photographer would take your surprise proposal photos from the distance. He would then introduce himself and take a few more photographs at the picnic site during the first half hour. You can then crack open the bottle of champagne & enjoy your Paris picnic with your loved one.

You would usually have an hour and a half to enjoy your gourmet picnic. Once you finish your lunch, our photographer can take you around the Eiffel Tower for another half hour. Engagement packages offer different photography lengths from a mini photo session to two hours of professional photography around Paris.

A unique Parisian experience.

Ian and Jay had their engagement photographed when they arrived at the champ de Mars. Following their lunch hour, our photographer took them around the Eiffel tower for the remaining 1/2 hour of photography.

We organised another hour of photography at the Louvre, rue de Rivoli and the gardens of the palais Royal. My favorite location for engagement photos although Paris is simply gorgeous all over.

May we suggest the Luxembourg gardens for your engagement? It is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It is also referred to as the “Jardin du Sénat”. Designed in 1612 by Marie de Medici, it covers 26 hectares in central Paris.

Lets propose in the heart of Saint Germain des Près, in the latin quater at one of the most beautiful park in Paris. Doesn’t that sound like a smashing idea?

Our clients were staying in a lovely boutique hotel on the edge of the Luxembourg gardens. They had great memories of previous Paris trip, wandering the streets of Saint Germain. We thought the gardens of the Luxembourg would be the perfect setting for their engagement in Paris. And indeed it was just perfect!

So our client decided on a gourmet picnic with our deco setting at the Luxembourg to surprise his partner. We had their gourmet picnic ready by 12h00, a little earlier then usual. The park can get a little busy in the afternoon. There are only that many lawns at the garden where you can rest over lunch hour. Parisian often gather on the lawn to catch up with friends, do their week end exercise and chill with a good book. 12h was the perfect timing.

Our deco picnic was set up in the middle of the main lawn overlooking the senat in the background. The deco included a set of cushions, a vintage picnic blanket, a couple of traditional wicker baskets one of which hosting a silver bucket of iced champagne. We also included vintage umberllas over both baskets to shed the food. On the blanket laid a hand written menu with some candles.
