We started “Love Picnic Paris” in 2016! From the beginning we wanted to propose traditional French style gourmet picnics to our clients around the city. We also have a love for photography! From the start, we decided to include professional photo session to our services. Sometimes it rains on the day of your sweet Paris engagement ! This morning, it actually snowed in the city! Still, we do provide gourmet picnics all year long either in Paris or Versailles. Hot soup & hot tea and warm blankets will accomodate your winter Paris picnic.
We usually touch base with our clients the day before their picnic, after having checked on the weather forecast. We ask you to be a little flexible if possible with the timing of your picnic. This way we have room to play with the planning and set up of your engagement picnic Paris.
We may move the starting time a little later on during the afternoon. We might even suggest to move the date to the next day if the weather doesn’t cooperate! Rare thing … Most time, in case of rain, we use one of the shelter at the champ de mars.
This is what happened with our couple who recently flew from Australia to get engaged in Paris. We set up their engagement picnic at one of the shelter at the champ de mars. A couple of good looking umbrellas, love & happiness plus a great sense of humor from our photographer did the trick!

We have had a wonderful time with our clients at their Paris romantic winter engagement, on the last day of 2023! A Winter Romantic Paris Engagement.
Glen proposed to his girlfriend at the Eiffel tower on the last day of 2023! It is hard to believe that we are already a few days into the New Year. We have turned a page on 2023 and many gorgeous memories with our clients, both in Paris and Versailles. We have had the chance to organize a lot of different picnics with couples, families and larger groups from all over the world. It has been a lot of fun to meet each and everyone of our clients. And sincerely, we have wonderful memories of each of our parties, large and small.
We are now in Normandy for a week, taking some time off with family. I wanted to take the time to write a few words on our blog before heading for a walk at the beach today. Already, we have booked a few picnic for the spring! This morning, a family of 5 guests visiting Paris for the first time contacted us to organize a picnic at the Eiffel tower in may with our deco picnic set up and some lifestyle photography. We are so much looking forward to warmer days & meeting our new clients in town.

Glen and Racquel enjoyed our deco gourmet picnic at the champ de Mars. The weather was a little grey on this last day of the year.The grass was a little damp as well. We decided to set up their picnic at one of the shelter along the park. We thought it would be more enjoyable for them.
On the menu, a French traditional baguette, a selection of French cheeses, hot vegetable soup, smoked salmon, a market salad, seasonal fruits, chocolate cake, macarons.

Lets get engaged in Paris with Love Picnic Paris. We are producing quite a few surprise proposals over the christmas season engagement. Our clients are flying from Australia, New Zealand and the U.S this winter. Paris is a little chilly at the moment, still we are having some beautiful days. Christmas is round the corner, hoping for a little snow and a white christmas!
Love Picnic Paris proposes a stylish winter picnic for the christmas season. Our winter DECO picnics include cashmere plaids, cotton blankets, hot tea to keep you warm. We would set up our picnics a little later in the afternoon so that you get a beautiful light for your engagement photo session. Keep in mind that it gets dark by 17 hours in december.
Lets Propose in Paris in the winter season.
From experience, we would usually set up our proposal gourmet picnics by 15 hours in the winter months. It usually gets a little warmer in the afternoon plus winter light can be quite gorgeous for photography. To propose in Paris in the winter season can be quite unique. We advise you to pack up a wollen hat and scarf in your bag. We would take care of everything else for you.
Best location for a winter proposal is the champ de Mars. It is usually pretty quiet at this time of the year. They are so many gorgeous photo oportunities around the Eiffel tower. Having said that, we LOVE heading to Versailles regardless of the time of the year. The park is always an enchantment.

There is no real season for a Paris engagement photo session and a traditional gourmet picnic. We had the great pleasure to produce a Paris romantic winter engagement just recently for our clients. Our clients flew all the way from San Francisco. First time in Paris, first time in France for both of them.
Ian reached out to us with the idea of proposing to his girlfriend while staying in Paris. We organized our winter gourmet deco picnic at the Eiffel Tower for them.
Because of the winter season, we may ask you to be a little flexible with time and schedule for your event. We would be in touch the day before to finalize all of the little details together. In case of a rainy forecast during the day, we might suggest to wait a little while or postpone to the next day if possible. We can also set up your picnic under one of the shelter at the champ de Mars.
Paris proposal with a gourmet picnic.
We do propose a winter Picnic menu for the winter season. Our winter deco picnic comes with a traditional baguette, a hot vegetable soup, a selection of cheeses, a selection of cold meats, a vegetable quiche, seasonal salad, fruits and chocolates. Our Paris picnic is also served with hot tea and champagne. An engagement picnic is usually set up either at the Eiffel Tower or Versailles gardens.
Our gourmet winter picnic also comes with a beautiful deco set up. It includes our traditional wicker picnic baskets, a set of designer cushions, a couple of cashmere plaids, a warm cotton blanket, customized menu, candles.

A Paris professional photographer for your engagement.
Any of our gourmet picnics can be coupled with a professional photo session. You will also find detailed information on our proposal page which includes various engagement photography sessions.
This is how it goes!
We make the process very easy. Our gourmet picnic would be set up and ready to enjoy when you arrive at the choosen location. It is usually best to propose when you arrive to the picnic set once settled.
Our photographer would take your surprise proposal photos from the distance. He would then introduce himself and take a few more photographs at the picnic site during the first half hour. You can then crack open the bottle of champagne & enjoy your Paris picnic with your loved one.
You would usually have an hour and a half to enjoy your gourmet picnic. Once you finish your lunch, our photographer can take you around the Eiffel Tower for another half hour. Engagement packages offer different photography lengths from a mini photo session to two hours of professional photography around Paris.
A unique Parisian experience.
Ian and Jay had their engagement photographed when they arrived at the champ de Mars. Following their lunch hour, our photographer took them around the Eiffel tower for the remaining 1/2 hour of photography.
We organised another hour of photography at the Louvre, rue de Rivoli and the gardens of the palais Royal. My favorite location for engagement photos although Paris is simply gorgeous all over.

What a gorgeous september afternoon at the champ de Mars for the engagement of Ambrose and Chloé. A Paris surprise engagement is always a beautiful & exciting moment that we enjoy sharing with our couples. We propose various engagement gourmet picnic packages both in Paris and Versailles. Ambrose had decided to propose at the Eiffel tower late afternoon. Our couple had just arrived from Australia the same day. He decided on our first proposal package including a bouquet of flowers as well as one hour of photography.

They enjoyed a traditional picnic menu including a French traditional baguette, a selection of cheeses, selection of cold meats, a market salad, seasonal fruits and desert. We set up our traditional picnic set for them along the main area of the champ de Mars with the Eiffel tower well in sight.
Paris Professional Engagement Photographer.
Any of the engagement package that we propose are coupled with fun and stylish photography. Our Paris professional engagement photographer will guide you every step of the way. You can just relax and enjoy this very special day, you are in very good hands. The idea is to propose when you arrive at the picnic site. We will suggest that you hide your clothes behind the baskets. This way the decor will be flawless. Once you have settled down, we suggest that you actually propose behind the set so that our photographer can take some wonderful photos. Perfect visuals with your gourmet picnic in the foreground and the Eiffel tower in the background in full bloom.
You will have either half an hour with Olivier or a full hour of photography depending on which package you choose. Our Professional photographer would photograph your proposal from the distance when you arrive to the picnic. He will then introduce himself and take some lifestyle photos of the two of you before you enjoy your picnic.
You will then have an hour and a half to enjoy your Picnic. Once you have finished, you can carry on with your photo session around the Eiffel tower for the remaining time. The selection of Ambrose engagement photos presented were taken over one hour so that you have an idea of what to expect from our engagement photo shoot.
Your engagements photos will be edited, retouched and sent out to you via wetransfer in high resolution the next day. Ambrose and Chloé received a selection of over 50 beautiful photographed in high definition format.

May we suggest the Luxembourg gardens for your engagement? It is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It is also referred to as the “Jardin du Sénat”. Designed in 1612 by Marie de Medici, it covers 26 hectares in central Paris.

Our clients were staying in a lovely boutique hotel on the edge of the Luxembourg gardens. They had great memories of previous Paris trip, wandering the streets of Saint Germain. We thought the gardens of the Luxembourg would be the perfect setting for their engagement in Paris. And indeed it was just perfect!

So our client decided on a gourmet picnic with our deco setting at the Luxembourg to surprise his partner. We had their gourmet picnic ready by 12h00, a little earlier then usual. The park can get a little busy in the afternoon. There are only that many lawns at the garden where you can rest over lunch hour. Parisian often gather on the lawn to catch up with friends, do their week end exercise and chill with a good book. 12h was the perfect timing.
Our deco picnic was set up in the middle of the main lawn overlooking the senat in the background. The deco included a set of cushions, a vintage picnic blanket, a couple of traditional wicker baskets one of which hosting a silver bucket of iced champagne. We also included vintage umberllas over both baskets to shed the food. On the blanket laid a hand written menu with some candles.

This past week end, we organised a sunrise proposal in Paris! Such a gorgeous morning it was. We set up our deco gourmet picnic at the champ de Mars, overlooking the Eiffel tower. We suggested to our client to propose by 8am. This way they could have the whole park to themselves! It was a lovely morning, the park was indeed very peaceful at this time. There were only a few people around, mainly walking their dogs and jogging. Such a Parisian thing to do!
Marius proposed to his girlfriend when they arrived at the picnic site. We organised half an hour of engagement photos prior to the picnic with our professional photographer. The light is gorgeous at this time of the day. If you are an early bird, it is a great idea to get to the park at sunrise.
Your Eiffel tower engagement.
The Eiffel tower area can get a little busy during the day to say the least. Planning your engagement early enough, you will skip the crowd and enjoy a unique Parisian experience. You also will be able to enjoy the city of light waking up to its full beauty. Because our clients are usually a little jetlag travelling to Paris, it is not too difficult to head to the Eiffel tower that early afterall. I assure you it is really worth it! You will get some great photos for your engagement with our professional photographer.
Your engagement photos will be carefully edited and retouched. The selection will be sent out to you in high resolution format the next day. You will receive a wetransfer link that you can send with your parents back home for the next 7 days.

Todays clients enjoyed a bottle of chilled champagne with an iced bucket. French traditional baguette, croissants, a selection of cheeses, a vegetable quiche, smoked salmon, sweets and macarons were part of the menu.
Our deco gourmet picnic are set up with our traditional wicker baskets, vintage table cloths, umbrellas, lovely cushions, candles, cashmere plaids and a written menu.
