I Love black and white photography… They are so romantic and timeless. I still enjoy looking at my parents pictures when they were young, those old family albums in black and white were just stunning. So glad that black and white is coming back to fashion these days.
Ella and Andrejs enjoyed our “Amelie Poulain” picnic at the Trocadero with an hour of photos around the site. We had the picnic set up for them when they arrived. Ella did not know anything about it. She was a little surprised when she found out! All of the little details had been well planned in advance.
We communicate via text message the morning of if need be, nothing is left aside.We would send you the map of the exact location geolocalized, so that you can let yourself being guided to the spot if need be with your phone. We make sure that the location is very easy to find for everyone, even if you have never been to Paris before.

Greg and Annie had a gourmet Picnic in Paris yesterday. Olivier took a few photographed with our couple in a lifestyle manner around the Eiffel tower and the trocadero site. I love those huge smiles and happy faces on Annie and Greg honeymoon photos session.
Annie contacted us from Italy a few days prior to their arrival in Paris. She wanted to surprise her husband with a gourmet picnic and a photo session. She decided to couple our “Amelie Poulain” picnic with one hour of photography around the Eiffel tower. Our picnic was all set up for them when they arrived at the champ de mars by 13h00. They settled down while Olivier snapped a few photos of the two of them to begin with; our wicker basket and a couple of red balloons in sight!

You can find our four different picnic menus in “Love Picnic Paris” service page. You can easily choose your preferred picnic from this page. You can pick on the date and time in the roll down menu as well. You may add various options such as flowers, champagne and photography to your liking. Our mini photo session, half an hour of photography is charged at € 180. This includes a set of photographs all edited and retouched with a set of low and high resolution files both for the internet and printing. We make a point that we sent you all of the photos back to you via “wetransfer” the next day.
Once we’ve received your order, we will fine tune all of the little details with you. We will then ask you to pay for your picnic via paypal. You have 24 hours to complete your purchase. Please do not hesitate to share with us any special request that you may have.

What about if the weather is not cooperating!
The weather had been a little temperamental recently and we had our noises stuck to our weather forecast board the previous days.
The best location to set up a picnic for photos and vista is the Trocadero area. It is a large open space. It can be a little windy at times though. There are people passing by. Down below from the main square is always pretty quiet. You’ll get the most amazing view of the eiffel tower from across the seine. In case of possible rain & showers, we would set up the picnic on the other side of the park. It is a little quieter and at the foot of the Eiffel tower. We posted a few photos from the champ de mars area yesterday so that you can have a more precise idea of the site.

The champ de mars area is usually where we would set up a picnic in case of rain. There is a shelter area just around the corner from our usual picnic set up with a view of the eiffel tower. This is exactly what we did for Annie and Greg. We first went to the Trocadero on the day. We then decided it would be best to set up the picnic at our location on the champ de mars after all. Olivier simply contacted our clients by phone with the map below to advise them on the final picnic location.
You usually have one hour to enjoy this very parisian moment. Once Annie and Greg had finished their picnic, they simply walk over to the seine with Olivier for their photo session. Looking at the final set of photographs, I think that everyone had a great time!

We ask you to be reachable by phone on the morning of your picnic. We may need to reassess our set up plans because of the weather. In case of possible rain, we would usually decide once we get to the site what would be the best possible set up for the day. We would then communicate the location via text message with a map.

Love Picnic Paris started with the desire to share our passion for our city; enjoying a gourmet picnic with friends and family. Olivier happens to be a very talented portrait photographer. Paris secret proposal
The weather is incredibly warm for the season at the moment! Not sure it is a good thing by the way, but this is another topic. We assisted Joe this past week preparing for his Paris secret proposal at the eiffel tower. There is no season for LOVE, anything is possible in Paris.
Joe ordered our “Edith Piaf” gourmet picnic at the Trocadero gardens including one hour photo session with Olivier once our couple had enjoyed their lunch and cracked open the bottle of champagne.
The Trocadero area is great for photos. It is located on a hill overlooking the seine and the eiffel tower which you can admire in the distance. It is an amazing view point for photography. Although it can get a little crowded at time, the trocadero area is definitely a prime location for some great photography with the Eiffel tower and the city scape.
We are now starting to take bookings for the spring season. We have had a few couples contacting us to plan their surprise gourmet picnic already. A few of you have reserved their date for their forthcoming secret proposal too. We are now proposing picnics and photography in the gardens of Versailles this year as well.

Versailles is gorgeous regardless of the season. We have organised a few picnics for our clients in its gardens this past season. It is always such a blessing to wander around the park. This time Olivier took our clients to the gardens of Versailles on a december morning for their pre wedding photo session. I think they had a blast. They look so happy and in love with each other. Big smile on their faces! It is lovely to be able to help clients visiting the city either for a gourmet picnic of a creative photo session. I think that Olivier did a wonderful job and it is a real delight to post a few of the pre wedding photo session of Brittany and Bill.

Family portraits and a winter picnic at the Eiffel tower
We set up our first winter picnic for a family visiting the city from San Diego this past week. It rained on the day so we decided to have the picnic at one of the sheltered bench a few steps away from the Eiffel tower. This way they could enjoy our gourmet picnic “winter style” with hot coffee & tea and vegetable soup to start with. Our family had a family photo session with Olivier in the morning, they then headed to the champ de Mars for their lunch before visiting the Eiffel tower in the afternoon.
They had purchased Eiffel tower tickets online so that they easily passed the ticket office and the eternal queue of tourist, to reach the elevator which took them all the way to the third floor. It is an incredible experience to climb the tower all the way up and enjoy the incredible view over the city from up there. I was 8 year old when my parents took us there for the first time and i still vividly remember the experience; mainly my dad being sea sick! i remember this gigantesque view, the conquered tower, the grand adventure, running down the steps ahead of our parents, resting on each floor to the ground level again!

A few more words regarding our winter picnic now ready to order! If you are intending to visit the Eiffel tower, it is a great way to have lunch just before or after your visit. We would set up your picnic for you with balloons and blankets so that you do not have to worry about the logistic ( picking up or returning the wicker baskets ). The picnic location would be on the champ de Mars and easily accessible from the tower. We could alternatively set up our picnics at the Luxembourg gardens if weather allows. We would point you to the set up with geo localization and whatsapp in the morning of! We do love ( from time to time ) those new technology which made your life easier! Our winter picnic comes with a bottle of wine ( champagne optional ). It is served with tea and / or coffee, a hot vegetable soup, a market quiche, cheeses and selection of cured meat, fresh market salad and a dessert. ( fruits or chocolate cake ).
Our gourmet picnic can be coupled with a lifestyle photo session with Olivier either prior or after your lunch. We have had a gorgeous month and october is even more beautiful … You are in the city with the intention to propose to your girlfriend, or simply visiting with your love one … You are looking for something unique to do, something utterly romantic! Well, it is the perfect time to enjoy one of our gourmet picnic and a couple photo session at the Eiffel tower, just like Ashley and Kent did yesterday. They flew from California; first time in Paris, a gourmet picnic overlooking the eiffel tower is a wonderful Parisian experience. Ashley had contacted us a while back to arrange for our “Leon picnic ” and a photo session with Olivier.
We set up their picnic at the Trocadero gardens so that when they arrived at the location, all they had to do was open the bottle of wine & enjoy this special moment. Olivier met up with them an hour later for their couple photo session. They had booked a mini photo session with us to complement their romantic afternoon.

It is always difficult to answer, the city having such a rich cultural heritage. A romantic gourmet picnic in the fall with a creative photo session with our photographer.
There is no season for romance in Paris. It is always the perfect time to enjoy the city of light when you are in love. There is no special time for a gourmet picnic either along the banks of the seine. Although picnics are considered a summer activity, we are preparing a gourmet picnic for the fall and winter season.
WHY? Simply because we, as a couple enjoy escaping for an afternoon with one of our picnic along the seine even if it is a bit chilly! It doen’t matter really … You are well covered, hat, scarves to enhance the experience!
What matters is experiencing a unique moment with your love one, a special afternoon just for the two of you. This is what we would like to share with our clients at love Picnic Paris. We will include a hot soup, hot tea, some cheese, cured meat and some delightful surprises in our winter picnics. We would set up one of our wicker basket with a blanket at one of our favorite location in the city for you to enjoy.

We have had a beautiful weather in Paris this season. An afternoon at the park with a gourmet picnic and a family photo session to follow was just perfect! They had visited the Eiffel tower in the morning. It was time to relax and chill on the grass with a lovely lunch served in one of our wicker basket.

Once you have chosen your picnic style, we will guide you with choosing the right location. The Eiffel tower is obviously the number one destination but it can get a little crowded. Remember there are close to 17M tourist flying to France every year with a stop over in Paris. Once you have arrived in the city, dropped your bags at the hotel, the first site you would go to is the Eiffel tower. It can get a little crazy at time!
The Eiffel Tower is certainly an amazing place for a secret proposal but do not forget that Paris is a gem of amazingly romantic locations which are often a little quieter. I was thinking of the Louvre gardens located in between the Pyramide and the Tuilerie gardens. Surprisingly enough, it is a little piece of heaven where tourist do not venture. It is only a few yards from the main entrance of the Louvre!
The Luxembourg gardens is also one of our favorite. It is situated on the border between Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the Latin Quarter. The Park is in the 6th arr. walking distance to iconic cultural cafe’s such as ” Les deux Magots ” and the ” café de Flores “. The garden contains just over a hundred statues, monuments and fountains, scattered throughout the grounds. It is utterly romantic, and overwelmingly beautiful!
So here, three different locations to chose from! Once you have decided on your perfect place to propose to your love one. We would fine tune the time of the day, pin point the exact location where your picnic would be ready and Olivier our photographer would take your proposal photographs as it happens.
You would then enjoy your picnic, crack a bottle of champagne. We would dismantle your picnic space for you so that you can carry on with your Paris engagement photography session with Olivier with the most amazing city in the background.
This is exactly what J+M did at the gardens of the Trocadero a few days back. Their picnic was followed by one hour photo session with Olivier around the site. The photos were sent to them a few days after their special event so that they could share they happiness with friends and family back home. Olivier would send you a couple of retouched photos the very same day as well to speed up the announcement!

When we started ‘Love Paris Picnic ” the idea was to share our love for picnics, outings with friends and creative photography. Olivier is a very talented photographer with a vast experience in lifestyle and portrait photography.
