Enjoying Paris, love, fun and a romantic proposal at the Eiffel tower.

We assist our clients with the planning of their traditional French style gourmet picnic in and around Paris. Our various picnics are the perfect idea for a romantic proposal, a very special engagement as well as a family reunion, a birthday celebration and a lovers get together! One question comes back quite a bit when our clients reach out to us! What do you do in case of rain?

Sometimes it rains in Paris! We have had unpredictable weather forecast this summer, thanks to global warming situation!

It actually rained all morning today. We had a gourmet picnic planned at the Eiffel tower this morning. Ciaran ordered our “Amelie Poulain” with a professional photo session & proposed to his long time girlfriend. Many of you ask us about the rain situation. What to do in case it rains! Do you have a plan B!

Yes we do … Here is what we can do. In case of our clients engagement picnic at the Eiffel tower, we opted for our plan B.

Paris picnic shelter – Champ de Mars.

We usually wait until the day of the picnic to decide on the perfect location. Our clients receive a general map of where about their picnic will be set up via email. We then communicate via text message in the morning and confirm the location again when the picnic is finally set up.

There are quite a few shelters along the champ de mars who were built by Gustave Eiffel at the same time as he built the Eiffel tower. We decided to set up our morning picnic under one of those shelter due to the sudden rain. When our clients arrived to the site, the sky cleared out and it simply stopped. HOURRA …

The grass along the main alley being quite wet still, they enjoyed their picnic at that particular location. We set up their picnic on one of the traditional bench under the shelter.

Champ de Mars gourmet picnics & secret proposal idea – Rain option site.

Ciaran proposed to his girlfriend as soon as they arrived to the site. It was quite moving for the two of them as it was for us too! They are young, beautiful, happy and in love! It is always a very emotional time to share with them. Olivier took some photos from the distance, introduced himself and took a few more photographs as Ciaran opened the bottle of champagne.

Husband and Wife First trip in Paris!

Brittany and Kreg enjoyed an afternoon at the champ de mars overlooking the Eiffel tower with one of our lovely gourmet picnic. They secured our Edith Piaf gourmet picnic a few weeks ahead of time. At the same time, they booked Olivier for some lifestyle photos around the Eiffel tower. No special occasion to celebrate apart from the fact that they loved the idea of having a gourmet picnic all set up for them in the most gorgeous city of ours. A lifestyle photo session is also a lot of fun. It is the opportunity to have some beautiful photos of yourself and your partner done while visiting the city.

Olivier took our couple around the Eiffel tower for one hour following their lunch. He had all of the photos edited down to over 100 final images all retouched. They were sent out directly to Brittany’s email via wetransfer in high definition a couple of days later. We love the result! Our couple are really happy with our photographer. They surely had a lot of fun in the process and I think the result shows it!

It is always such a great pleasure to meet new clients in Paris. Specially at this time of the year, considering the circonstances, it is really exciting to welcome Lovers, partners in crime, friends and families again! Nik had got in touch a few weeks ago so that we could assist him with his proposing to his girlfriend. We decided on an early afternoon gourmet picnic. Nik settled for “Jeanne” with macarons, chocolate cakes, seasonal fruits from the market, more sweets and a bottle of white wine with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
Great choice!

Classical musicians for the best Paris proposal.

We organised a violon alto and a cello to play some classical music for their arrival & while Nik proposed to Alex! We are downloading a sample video on our instagram page. So watch out, it is simply beautiful to listen to. Those musicians rock, it was really moving to listen to. If you are looking for musicians to perform during your Paris proposal, make sure you get in touch a few weeks in advance. This way we do have plenty of time to get everything organised.

Romantic photography, fun and simply beautiful.

The photography is stunning! We had a great couple, just so happy and in love with each other. The photos turned our beautifully. Olivier is a real artist, he has this thing to make his clients relax and have a good time with him. We propose 1/2 hour romantic photo session as well as a full hour with Olivier. Olivier would usually take some photos when you arrive at the picnic. It is actually the best time to propose to your girlfriend. You can then enjoy your gourmet picnic overlooking the Eiffel tower. You can then enjoy another 1/2 hour of lifestyle photography with one of the best photographer in town.

The photos are all color corrected and retouched if need be. They will usually be sent over to your email the next day via wetransfer.

Voila as we say in France!

A Parisian style birthday picnic.

There are 1001 ways to enjoy a birthday celebration in Paris. Our client contacted “Love Picnic Paris” to surprise her husband with a gourmet picnic at the champ de mars for his 40th birthday anniversary. We suggested a spot we favor off the main path of the park. Considering that the Eiffel tower stands at the edge of the park and that the surroundings are considered to be the number one touristic destination in Paris, it is surprisingly quite peaceful. It is also one of our favorite picnic location alongside the Trocadero gardens and the Luxembourg gardens in saint Germain des Près. Steps away from the Eiffel tower, you feel like you have the city to yourself at this champ de Mars picnic location! There are also lots of gorgeous trees on the site where one can shed in case of a summer heat wave! It is also a perfect way to end a morning tour with your Paris tour guide.

We have four different gourmet picnics to choose from. I would suggest you head to our service page for an overall view of our 4 different picnic styles. Jolinda opted for our ” Edith Piaf ” romantic picnic set up which we customized for her. Her picnic came with a traditional baguette, a selection of cold meats as well as a selection of French cheeses. They enjoyed a vegetable quiche with a fresh market salad followed by roast beef and ratatouille. She surprised her husband with a chocolate birthday cake. ( We added a few candles and a lighter for the event ). Our romantic French style picnic is served with a bottle of champagne and macarons for the sweet tooths.

While our first three picnics come with a traditional red squared blanket & our traditional wicker blankets, ” Edith Piaf ” is a little more elaborate! we will have your gourmet picnic all ready for you to enjoy with our baskets, cushions, an umbrella, balloons, candles. We collaborate with a professional photographer who can capture those precious moments for you. Olivier took a few photos of our clients when they arrived at the picnic so that he could capture the surprise effect! Once our clients finished their lunch, Olivier took them around the champ de mars for a mini walking tour around the eiffel tower so that they have gorgeous memories of the day in the city. They had a great time and it was a lot of fun for us to put everything together.

Lovers birthday party at the Eiffel tower

Summer time in Paris, at the Trocadero gardens enjoying one of our gourmet picnic basket to celebrate a birthday celebration. We are now starting to take your picnic orders again for the following months either for a Paris picnic or your trip to Normandy. Christian and Amanda enjoyed our “Edith Piaf” deco style picnic coupled with a photo session at the foot of the Eiffel tower. You will find a few photos of their gourmet picnic below.
We organised flowers from “Une Maison dans les Arbres” for Amanda’s birthday. Our couple had a wonderful time. It was a lot of fun to assist Christian with the planning of his wife’s birthday.

Always a pleasure to share photographs of a secret proposal at the Eiffel tower.

We are taking the time to share our last & most recent special event over a gourmet picnic and romantic photos at the Eiffel tower. A few days later, the city would litterally shut down following the Corrona virus global spread. We don’t wish to go over details of the situation on Paris at the moment. We are just glad that every one of our clients, friends and relatives are safe. We stopped posting for a few weeks now. We have decided to finally update everyone with some romantic photos of a very happy couple from Mexico.

French tradition at the Eiffel tower.

The French call it : “Galette des Rois” which translates as ” French King cake”. I have to say it sounds great in French. It is a biblical tradition that celebrates the visit of the Magi to Christ. The season for this gorgeous almond cake extends to the end of the Twelve days of christmas. “King cake parties” is a real delight for kids.They are celebrated all over the country. It is the occasion for another family reunion over the festive season. Whoever gets the King cake trinket is expected to choose his king or queen and share his crown for the day.

We wanted to share one of our lovely tradition with Whitney and Shawn for their last day in Paris.

Red heart shaped balloons with your picnic.

We included a bottle of sparkling wine for Shawn to shake, pop and spray – for the photo session. It is certainly a fun way to enjoy a romantic moment with your lover and celebrate life, love, and happiness. Shawn asked for some red heart shaped balloons as well. We used those gorgeous red heart balloons quite a bit during Whitney and Shawn’s romantic photo session. They looked so perfect & fun to play with. We now propose our new balloons sets to our gourmet picnics & secret proposal packages along with a bottle of sparkling to have fun with.

Your romantic gourmet picnic for the saint Valentine’s day.

We are now taking orders for paris Valentine’s day‘s celebrations. We propose to our clients a winter style gourmet picnics at the eiffel tower with cachemire plaids and warm woolen blankets over the christmas season. Our winter picnics come with our traditional wicker baskets, cushions, candles, sparkling lights, umbrellas …. Each picnic can be customized to your liking if you have any special requests. Whitney and Shawn enjoyed a bottle of chilled champagne with warm vegetable soup, Foie gras and smoked salmon. They had roasted chicken with seasonal vegetables as a main course. For desert, they enjoyed a “galette des Rois” with fresh fruits and traditional goat cheese yogurt.

All of our gourmet picnics can be coupled with a romantic photo shoot with Olivier; our lifestyle photographer. A typical photo shoot can take any time from 1/2 an hour at the Eiffel tower to a three hours photo story across Paris. Here are a few photographs taken by our photographer just recently at the place des Vosges, in the Marais district. I love Olivier’s style of photography. His photographs are vibrant and always lively.

“Love Picnic Paris” will decorate the site with our newly designed picnic set below. This year we have added candles and lights to decorate your picnic. Our selection of Parisian pillows will decorate the set with our traditional wicker picnic baskets. Your picnic will be served with champagne, hot wine, tea or coffee. We will have some balloons flying up high. We can include a specially crafted romantic bouquet of flowers. Our special proposal package comes with a bottle of champagne as well as tea or coffee. You may wish to add a bouquet of creatively designed flowers, a musician as an option as well. A romantic winter picnic for your proposal.

We ourselves love the idea of having a romantic picnic in the city regardless of the season. We call it ” our Romantic adventure ” which we have decided to share with everyone. Reach out via email to book your date. Do not hesitate to ask questions. We are here to help. Our goal is to make your unique Paris proposal a dream come true.

We would ask you to be a little flexible with time and day. We may need to move your picnic hour a little in case of rain. There is a gorgeous sheltered site which we use at the champ de mars. It is designed by Gustave Eiffel. It has public benches where we can set up your picnic in case of light rain. You would be all rapped up in our cashmere blankets. Time will stop, you will just enjoy the moment together with the woman of your life. You will propose in style, pop up the bottle of champagne and enjoy the moment.

Our photographer would be capturing your proposal from the distance.We can also include a very cheap bottle of sparkling (to shake, pop and spray – for the photo session)

Once your lunch comes to an end, Olivier will take you around the Eiffel tower site for your engagement photo session. The photo session can go from one to three hours in the streets of Paris depending on your special needs.
