Paris summer love

It is with great pleasure that we plan our Paris picnic parties with our traditional wicker baskets! Catering for a romantic picnic adventure at Versailles, a Paris engagement and engagement photography at the Eiffel tower, birthdays & party celebrations have been a wonderful experience. We have met lots of new friends along the way … one of the main reason why we decided to start “Love Picnic Paris”. Sharing our passion and French culture in the city that we LOVE is a lot of fun . We cannot recommend enough experiencing a Paris picnic at the Eiffel tower or the gardens of Versailles if you are planning a visit to France this summer.

We met up with Mark and Natasha at the Trocadero gardens for a special afternoon. They enjoyed our romantic “Edith Piaf” picnic overlooking the Eiffel tower. Their Eiffel picnic was all set up for them when they arrived to the park. Our photographer took them around the site once they finished their picnic for some lifestyle photography. The photo session lasted one hour. Olivier doesn’t count the time spent with his clients neither. The photo sessions often go overboard ! Neither does he counts the number of photos that he sends out to our clients. All of our Paris couple photos are retouched, sent out a few days after the shooting. You never wait for then a couple of days to receive your Paris photo story.

Olivier has worked in NYC for over 10 years as a professional photographer before he decided to settle back home. He has tons of experience making sure that his clients are having a wonderful time diring the photo session. His photos are anything apart from cliché, and convey the beauty of love, family and friendship. It is a real pleasure to spend the afternoon with him.

Our photographers style is fun and easy so it seems anyway! Years of experience and passion for his craft makes him a great professional photographer to work with. Mark was a little on the shy side while Natasha is used of having her photos taken for work. The result is stunning ! They look so happy together and certainly had a great time in the city with us.

Ordering a Paris picnic.

We would be glad to answer any of the question that you may have. Ordering a Paris picnic with “Love Picnic Paris” is easy. Best is to start heading to our Paris Picnic service page. All of our picnics can be customized to your liking. Simply add a note to your order or send us an email. Once we have received your order, we will follow up within the next 24 hours to fine tune all of the little details. Payment can be done once everything is finalized.

Your Paris picnic will be set up at one of the park that we selected together. There are a few options that you can add to your picnic basket. Again you are most welcome to send us an email if anything. Meanwhile enjoy those lovely photographs taken in the city with our couple. Paris Eiffel tower Honeymoon gourmet picnic and a photo session

We would love to share a few photographs of a gourmet picnic we prepared for a lovely couple from Dubai. Happily married for a little more then a week, they first landed in Paris on their honeymoon journey through France.

They asked us to prepare our “Amelie Poulain” picnic which we set up for them in a traditional wicker basket at the gardens of the Trocadero. It was a gorgeous afternoon with a big sky over the city. The trocadero garden is located across the seine from the eiffel tower. The grounds are a little higher up from the champ de mars. It is a gorgeous open space, with big old trees along both side of the park where you can get shelter from the blasting sun if need be.

We set up our gourmet picnics at a few locations around the city. The trocadero is certainly on top of our clients list because of the amazing view of the Eiffel tower on the other side of the seine. Having a picnic at the trocadero is the perfect stop to enjoy lunch before or after your visit to the tower.

As mentioned, we can set up our picnics at other gorgeous landmarks across the city. The Luxembourg gardens, the tuilerie gardens, place des Vogues are among our favorite places to enjoy a picnic in Paris.

We LOVE our job at ” Love Paris Picnic “. We get to meet wonderful clients. It is fun and exciting to prepare our gourmet picnics in traditional wicker baskets every day. We take great pleasure to set them up at different beautiful locations in Paris and Versailles. A picnic birthday celebration is a blast specially when our client is turning one year old. We had a special request for a chocolate and vanilla strawberry cake which our bakery at Versailles prepared for us. It was all Yummy! Dad and Mum ordered salmon and chicken sandwiches that we served with a market vegetable salad along side a selection of goat cheeses.

Olivier, our creative photographer was part of the game. He produced gorgeous lifestyle family photos along the water where we had set up the picnic with cushions and umbrellas for the sun. Mum and Dad had a wonderful time as well. Those family photos are really to die for. I specially love the one where she played with our red balloons.

Our little princess has already booked us for her two year old birthday anniversary. So long till next year at Versailles gardens for another fabulous gourmet picnic birthday celebration.

Birthday picnic celebration at the eiffel tower.

Gyl contacted us a while back to help plan a family picnic in beautiful Paris for a birthday celebration and a family reunion. The whole family with a total of 24 members were to fly to Europe in the month of July. Their European journey was to end in Paris. She wanted something special and fabulous for everyone to celebrate family and love.

We set up one of our gourmet picnic at the champ de mars for them. The weather had been simply gorgeous in Paris, even too hot at times! Unfortunately, a couple of days before our picnic date, we realised that it might rain after all. The forecast was actually not the best announcing a storm in the morning and constant rain fall through out the day!!

We first decided to change the date to friday instead of saturday as originally planned. As a precaution, we had actually blocked three days for Gyl’s picnic so that we could be flexible with time and date. So we were fine, we thought at first! Only we realised the next morning that rain was now forecast for friday as well with late afternoon storm!

After consulting with our client, we finally decided to stick to our original plans. Only we were to set up the picnic on a couple of tables under one of the Gustave Eiffel beautiful shelter at the champ de mars. In case of rain, we would be safe. We had organised umbrellas with the hotel as well just in case. Nothing at this point was going to stop everyone from having FUN on a typical French afternoon picnic at the Eiffel tower. This was going to be their last day in Europe. Everyone was ready to party and face the storm if need be!

Well as it turned out, for sure the sky was rather grey, the temperature had dropped a little. Luckily we did not see a drop of rain on that day. It rained a lot overnight, neither us or Gyl slept a lot on that night!! The couple of weather forecast we had our eyes on were both completely wrong!
Thanks to the gods, everyone had a wonderful time. The food was great, we had a selection of market quiches on the tables, a selection of French cheeses, cold meats, three different market salads, melons from Cavaillon as well as refreshing watermelon and chocolate cake for desert. Not to forget Rose wine from provence, chilled bear and mineral water just in case.

A Magician for a beautiful birthday

Our friend Clement the magician joined us for part of the day. Here below we posted a few photographs taken during his magic show. Everyone; the young and not so young including us at “Love Picnic Paris” had a wonderful time with him. Our magician’s performance was a lot of fun and had us entertained. His illusions, staged and close up magic were quite comedic in nature and the audience was ecstatic. GREAT SUCCESS ….

Paris engagement picnic and a photo session with Simon and Monica.

It is always a real pleasure to meet new clients in Paris over one of our picnic. It has now been over three years since we first started “Love Picnic Paris”! We have planned a lot of family picnics around the Eiffel tower, the Louvre and the Luxembourg gardens. We love our city. We also love gathering over a nice meal & a bottle of wine with family and friends. It has been a tradition in both our families since as far as we can recall to pack a picnic basket and head off to the country or the beach for the day. With “Love Picnic Paris”, we have managed to combine both our love for the city we live in and the enjoyment of sharing a picnic with lovers, friends and family.

Simon and Monica are typically addicted to Paris. They live in China and commonly fly once a year to the city for a few days to eat macarons and stroll down the streets of the Marais says Monica. Well this time around, Simon was going to propose and contacted ” Love Picnic Paris” to set up one of our lovely surprise picnic wicker basket at the foot of the Eiffel tower. He pop up the question as he was popping up the bottle of champagne.

Olivier was a little distance away capturing the whole scene as it happened in a discreet manner. Funny enough, Monica had never been to the Eiffel tower side of Paris before. It was with a little surprise that she let her lover take her there for a summer afternoon. She was even more surprised to find out that there were a gourmet picnic all set up for them when they arrived at the Trocadero gardens. No need to say how taken back she was when Simon kneeled down and proposed to his lover. Monica cried, they laughed, kissed and cuddled. Then Monica finally realized they were being photographed!

Photography of your Paris engagement.

All of our gourmet picnics can be coupled with photography, either 1/2 an hour, one hour at the Eiffel tower. You can then extend your engagement photo session with Olivier to another hour or more at a different time of the day so that you get morning or afternoon light. From experience, we feel that the best would be to have your surprise picnic over lunch time, propose during the picnic hour. Let our photographer document the proposal and take you around the Eiffel tower and Trocadero site for one hour of photography.

You can then decide to meet up again at sunset at the Louvre gardens or the seine to complete your engagement session. It is a wonderful opportunity to have a professional photographer capture those magical moments while you are in the most amazing city of the world.

The idea was to arrive at the Louvres gardens, surprise his girlfriend with our romantic picnic set up. Michal reached out to a chilled bottle of Dom Perignon to celebrate the moment. He cracked the bottle of champagne open and popped the question while Olivier was taking our couple surprise proposal photographs from the distance. Our photographer then moved closer, snapped a few more photos as Michal was giving the engagement ring to his girlfriend. Our couple were laughing and were utterly happy!

Total success ….

Our love birds enjoyed their late afternoon diner with foie gras, smoked salmon, a market salad, and other goodies. When Olivier returned to the picnic site, they were finishing a chocolate cake and wipped cream for desert. They were ready for an hour of engagement photos around the Louvre museum.

Jess and Ben were engaged in Paris at the Trocadero gardens yesterday. We organized a gourmet picnic for them coupled with an engagement photo session with one of the best lifestyle photographer in the city. The photos rock our world. They both look so HAPPY and in LOVE with each other. The final photos of their engagement are simply very moving and so romantic. Those visuals really show their happiness in a natural and unposted manner. It is so important to choose your photographer with care. You want the whole process to be fun and the memories of your day to showcase those flying moment with grace and talent. Everything was well planned in advance. We had been communicating with Ben the day before on whatsapp so that the timing was going to run smoothly. We did not take into consideration Ben’s emotional level. He was supposed to propose as they arrived at the picnic location. Olivier was hiding, ready to take the photos of the proposal as planned. Only when they arrived at the picnic, they sat down and started to open the bottle of wine. They carried on with enjoying their picnic, spreading all of the goodies on the mat.

Ben simply forgot that he was supposed to propose to Jess so it seemed at first. After a good 1/2 hour into the picnic, he finally stood up pretexting for a photo with the Eiffel tower with the love of his life. AND YES, finally he kneeled down on the grass, looked at his girl friend in the eyes and asked: ” Do you want to marry me! ”

Snap, snap, snap, Olivier took a lot of photos from this moment onwards. following the proposal, he moved forward to introduced himself. Both Jess and Ben were in tear! He snapped a few more shots and let our couple enjoy the moment. After they had finished their lunch, we packed up and Olivier took them around the trocadero gardens for their engagement photo session. Here are part of the afternoon in a few visuals below.

“Love Picnic Paris” is all about gourmet picnics. We set up delightful picnics at locations such as the eiffel tower, the Trocadero, the Luxembourg gardens, and the Louvre gardens in Paris. We have just recently started planning picnics at the gardens of Versailles as well. “Love Picnic Paris” is also about creative photography for private events in Paris and Versailles. We propose four different gourmet picnic that can be coupled with amazing photography.

You will find our picnic ideas in the service page of our blog. Our clients can order each of the 4 menus directly from our website. Options such as champagne, flowers and photography can be added directly to the order page. You are more then welcome to add specific information such as diet restriction while you process your order. We made the process easy for everyone. Large Picnic events.

We now do offer to set up larger size picnics as well for your special party in Paris. Large picnic orders are to be processed separately sending us an email first. Please provide all of the relevant information such as numbers of guests; preferred location and date. We now cater for larger birthdays as well as family celebrations in the city of light. We would be delighted to assist you with making this special moment memorable for everyone.

Below a few photographs of one of our most recent gourmet picnic event at the Eiffel tower which we organised for a VERY LUCKY 10 year old birthday girl. The picnic came with French baguette, a selection of cheeses, a selection of cured meat as well as fresh market salads. We had some olives and Hummus for the guests. We had fruits such as melon, peaches, water melon as well as home made chocolate cakes with chantilly for dessert. I am sure I forgot something!

It was a real pleasure to connect with German and his wife in Paris yesterday. We had the privilege to host one of our picnic for the family last year already. This time around they came back with their grand daughter. They enjoyed our “Amelie Poulain’ picnic at the Trocadero gardens. The picnic was followed by a mini photo session with Olivier.

We set off to the gardens of Versailles a few days ago for the most amazing afternoon with Cody and Leah. Leah’s mum had contacted us a while back to organise a gourmet picnic for the kids alongside an engagement photo session in the park of Versailles. Cody was to propose to his girlfriend on a beautiful spring day. We had set up our picnic along the water with some red balloons so that they couldn’t miss the spot!
They arrived, settled down, cracked open a bottle of rosé wine. Olivier was positioned a little far off. He could document the proposal in a discreet manner. We had explained everything to Cody in details in the morning so that the proposal was going to be flawless. And indeed it was! Cody proposed and Leah was laughing away.

Gourmet picnic at Versailles.

We had set up our “Amelie Poulain” picnic on the grass for them. The picnic included a French baguette, a selection of cold meat, a selection of hand picked cheeses, a fresh market salad, a vegetable quiche, a couple of “éclairs au chocolat” for desert, a bottle of Rosé wine and mineral water. When they finished their lunch Olivier took them around the park for their engagement photo session.
The session lasted one hour. It gave Olivier just enough time to have a nice selection of photographs with some wonderful moments.

Day trip from Paris.

Versailles is 1/2 an hour driving from the city therefore the perfect get away for the afternoon. It is easily accessible by train as well as the RER. Leah’s mum had organised everything for them. The whole family including parents and siblings travelled together. They couldn’t resist the temptation to spy on the kids from the distance while Cody proposed. They were all there hiding behind the bushes, contemplating the proposal in action!! So funny and a total surprise to Leah …. and us actually.

We have decided to propose an engagement packages at the garden of Versailles this year. It seems that a few of our clients had been eager to propose to their fiancee while enjoying one of our picnic at the park. It has been a real delight for us to organise our gourmet picnic coupled with a proposal photo session early spring with such amazing surroundings. We have a few special dates booked at Versailles through out the summer. We are so much looking forward to each and everyone of them.
Needless to say that we had a wonderful time with Cody, Leah and the family. Versailles is such a delight for the eyes. We love going there ourselves from time to time to chill on the grass with one of our picnic. It is such a peaceful environment away from the business of the city life!
