The park of the champ de Mars is one of our favorite destination. The Eiffel tower is set to one side of the park making it an ideal site to enjoy a visit of the tower in the morning coupled with a well rested gourmet picnic over lunch hour. The history of the Champ de Mars dates back to the late 18th century when it served as a military training ground for the French army. Its name, which translates to “Field of Mars” in English, pays homage to Mars, the Roman god of war.

However, with the dawning of the French Revolution in 1789, the field took on a new significance as a site for revolutionary gatherings and celebrations.

Lets Plan Your Menu: You will find 4 different menus to choose from in our service page. Select a variety of gourmet foods to indulge in. Think about including French classics like baguettes, cheeses (such as Brie, Camembert, or Comté), charcuterie (like cured meats or pâté), fresh fruits (grapes, strawberries, or figs), and pastries (croissants or macarons). Don’t forget to pair your meal with a bottle of wine or Champagne for an authentic touch. You can always leave us a note for a special request.

Our wicker baskets: We use traditional wicker baskets and a cooler to transport your food and beverages. We will pack utensils, plates, glasses, a corkscrew, napkins, and a trash bag for cleanup. We offer a traditional picnic set up as well as a deco style gourmet picnic. Our deco style gourmet picnic can be added to any of our picnics. Just ask us for details while reserving your date.

1. - Paris birthday surprise idea. It was the first time in France for our family and the last day of their journey in Paris before heading back home. Our client organised a surprise picnic for his wife birthday celebration with the kids at the park. They enjoyed a visit to the Eiffel tower in the morning. Time to drop your phone for a while, let a real professional document your family picnic in a lifestyle manner. The picture process is a lot of fun. Photos are usually done when you arrive at the picnic site. You can choose from a mini photo session ( 1/2 hour of photography ) to one hour of photo. If you choose the second option, our photographer will take you around the Eiffel tower once you finish your picnic as well. Your family photo session will be professionally edited & retouched the same day. Photos will be sent out the next day in high resolution via wetransfer.

A note on Getting engaged in Paris.

You will find different engagenent packages in our proposal page. A professional photo session is included with any of our proposal picnics. You may want to extend your engagement photo session to one or two hours. This way olivier will photograph your proposal when you arrive at the picnic site. You can then enjoy your picnic. Once you have finished olivier will take you around the Eiffel tower for the remaining hour. You can then jump into a taxi, head to the Louvre area for another hour of lifestyle photography with one of the best photographer in town.

A Sweet Paris Engagement on a Rainy day!

Sometimes it rains on the day of your engagement in Paris! This morning, it actually snowed in the city! Still, we do provide gourmet picnics all year long either in Paris or Versailles. Hot soup & hot tea and warm blankets will accomodate your winter Paris picnic.

We usually touch base with our clients the day before their picnic, after having checked on the weather forecast. We ask you to be a little flexible if possible with the timing of your picnic. This way we have room to play with the planning and set up of your engagement picnic in Paris.

We may move the starting time a little later on during the afternoon. We might even suggest to move the date to the next day if the weather doesn’t cooperate! Rare thing … Most time, in case of rain, we use one of the shelter at the champ de mars.

This is what happened with our couple who recently flew from Australia to get engaged in Paris. We set up their engagement picnic at one of the shelter at the champ de mars. A couple of good looking umbrellas, love & happiness plus a great sense of humor from our photographer did the trick!

A Winter Romantic Paris Engagement.

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We have had a wonderful time with our clients at their Paris romantic winter engagement, on the last day of 2023! The champ de Mars with the Eiffel tower in the background was just the perfect setting. They both look so happy in the photos of their Paris engagement. It is always such a blessing to share our clients happiness with our Paris gourmet picnics.

As we celebrate the New Year, let’s spare a thought for those in conflict-ridden areas, especially the Palestinians & Ukraine. Their plight is not just a distant issue but a global concern that requires our attention and action.

A Winter Romantic Paris Engagement.

Glen proposed to his girlfriend at the Eiffel tower on the last day of 2023! It is hard to believe that we are already a few days into the New Year. We have turned a page on 2023 and many gorgeous memories with our clients, both in Paris and Versailles.
We have had the chance to organize a lot of different picnics with couples, families and larger groups from all over the world. It has been a lot of fun to meet each and everyone of our clients. And sincerely, we have wonderful memories of each of our parties, large and small.

We are now in Normandy for a week, taking some time off with family. I wanted to take the time to write a few words on our blog before heading for a walk at the beach today. Already, we have booked a few picnic for the spring! This morning, a family of 5 guests visiting Paris for the first time contacted us to organize a picnic at the Eiffel tower in may with our deco picnic set up and some lifestyle photography. We are so much looking forward to warmer days & meeting our new clients in town.

Glen and Racquel enjoyed our deco gourmet picnic at the champ de Mars. The weather was a little grey on this last day of the year.The grass was a little damp as well. We decided to set up their picnic at one of the shelter along the park. We thought it would be more enjoyable for them.

On the menu, a French traditional baguette, a selection of French cheeses, hot vegetable soup, smoked salmon, a market salad, seasonal fruits, chocolate cake, macarons.

Paris Christmas season engagement

A Paris Christmas Season Engagement.

Lets get engaged in Paris with Love Picnic Paris. We are producing quite a few surprise proposals over the christmas season. Our clients are flying from Australia, New Zealand and the U.S this winter. Paris is a little chilly at the moment, still we are pp having some beautiful days. Christmas is round the corner, hoping for a little snow and a white christmas!

Love Picnic Paris proposes a stylish winter picnic for the christmas season. Our winter DECO picnics include cashmere plaids, cotton blankets, hot tea to keep you warm. We would set up our picnics a little later in the afternoon so that you get a beautiful light for your engagement photo session.
Keep in mind that it gets dark by 17 hours in december.

Lets Propose in Paris in the winter season.

From experience, we would usually set up our proposal gourmet picnics by 15 hours in the winter months. It usually gets a little warmer in the afternoon plus winter light can be quite gorgeous for photography. To propose in Paris in the winter season can be quite unique. We advise you to pack up a wollen hat and scarf in your bag. We would take care of everything else for you.

Best location for a winter proposal is the champ de Mars. It is usually pretty quiet at this time of the year. They are so many gorgeous photo oportunities around the Eiffel tower. Having said that, we LOVE heading to Versailles regardless of the time of the year. The park is always an enchantment.

A Paris Picnic at the Eiffel Tower

The champ de Mars is our favorite park for an afternoon Paris picnic. It is perfectly located in the heart of Paris along the river seine to one side and the Ecole Militaire to the other side. The Eiffel tower stands beautifully to the north side. It is a real treat to enjoy a traditional French picnic at the park with the family.

First time in Paris with the kids, our clients enjoyed a visit to the Eiffel tower in the morning. By the time they walked down the tower, we had our party picnic set up for the family at a quiet spot, a little to the side. They had ordered our Amelie Poulain menu with a bottle of champagne and lemonade for the kids.

We actually set up our deco picnic for them. This includes our gorgeous wicker baskets, vintage table cloths, designer cushions, candles, umbrellas, cotton plaids as well as flowers and our colorful balloons.

We have had the great pleasure to host a party picnic for a family from Porto Rico. Our first Quinceañera Paris Picnic celebration! A quinceañera is a traditional celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday. It has cultural roots in Mexico and is widely celebrated by girls throughout Latin America. This Quinceañera birthday is celebrated differently from any other. It was a very special moment for our family visiting Paris.
